Registration Opens Soon For Gloucester Township Junior Police Academy

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Registration for the fifth annual Gloucester Township Police Junior Police Academy begins soon. Residents can register at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center on May 30, beginning at 8 a.m. Non-residents can register beginning June 7 at the Recreation Center, 80 Broadacres Drive, Clementon NJ 08021 It is next to the Cherrywood development.

Participants in the Junior Police Academy engage in physical training, lectures, presentations, and hands on activities. There is a field trip, and the academy concludes with a graduation ceremony for each class. The Junior Cadets will learn how to march and work together as squads, and the importance of being physically fit, staying drug free, teamwork and respect.

Sessions will take place this summer, as follows:

Ages 10 – 14
Dates: July 17-21, 2017
Times: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily
Location: Gloucester Township Police Department
Resident Cost: $125

Non-Resident Cost: $150
Max 30 Cadets

Ages 11-15
Dates: July 24-28, 2017
Times: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily
Location: Gloucester Township Police Department

Advanced Junior Police Academy

Ages 11-16
Dates: July 31-Aug. 4, or Aug. 7-11, 2017 (Your choice of week)
Times: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily
Location: Gloucester Township Police Department
Resident Cost: $125

Non-Resident Cost: $150
Max 25 Cadets each week
