Rosetta Stone Offered for Free at Gloucester Township Library

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Gloucester Township residents who want to learn a different language now have free access to Rosetta Stone at the library.
Rosetta Stone includes 30 foreign languages (from Arabic to Vietnamese) to library card holders with a range of cultural interests.
Learning is structured around core lessons to build reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. It also includes focused activities to refine grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and more.

“We are pleased to offer this valuable language learning resource to our patrons with the aid of the New Jersey State Library. Helping to meet the interests and needs of our residents in this very practical way also fosters cultural awareness in the diverse communities of Camden County and New Jersey,” Camden County Library Director Linda Devlin said. “It’s one more benefit that adds value to having a library card and access to all that we offer residents.”
Rosetta Stone Library Solution has been used in more than 22,000 schools and 12,000 businesses for over 20 years. The award-winning interactive approach has been used by millions of learners around the world and now is accessible in the library, or anywhere, anytime thanks to available mobile apps.

“This is a great tool to help us all celebrate the diversity of Camden County by being able to speak in the languages of our neighbors,” Camden County Freeholder Bill Moen, liaison to the Camden County Library System, said. “There is no better way to experience another culture than to learn its customs and learn to speak its language. It will open a world of opportunity to you.”
Rosetta Stone Library Solution replaces Mango as the library’s language learning resource and can be found on the Camden County Library website at http://www.camdencountylibrary.org/rosetta-stone where apps are available for different mobile devices to allow learning on the go.
Gloucester Township residents can get a free library card and others can purchase one at a nominal price.
