Severe Thunderstorm Watch In 13 N.J. Counties
The severe thunderstorm watch is in place through 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch across 13 New Jersey counties.
According to forecasters, the watch is in place through 7 p.m. in the following counties:
- Atlantic
- Burlington
- Camden
- Cape May
- Cumberland
- Gloucester
- Hunterdon
- Mercer
- Middlesex
- Monmouth
- Ocean
- Salem
- Somerset
"Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible as a squall line develops ahead of a strong cold front. Damaging winds and frequent lightning are the main hazards; however, some hail is possible. Storms will produce heavy rain, and there may be localized flooding in areas of poor drainage," the alert said.

The storms kick off a week of wild weather that is expected in New Jersey. The storms are expected to give way to cooler temperatures later this week, and even some snow is possible Friday.
