Sicklerville Man Convicted in Shooting of Ex-Girlfriend Sentenced
Timothy A. Horne was previously convicted of aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

A Sicklerville man has been sentenced to 35 years in state prison in the 2013 shooting of his then-girlfriend, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Monday afternoon.
Timothy A. Horne, 38, was previously convicted by a jury of three counts of aggravated assault and three weapons offenses.
He was sentenced to 20 years on a second-degree aggravated assault charge. He also received a consecutive 10-year sentence for a certain person not to have weapons charge and a consecutive five-year sentence for a violation of probation.

He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
A 33-year-old Camden woman was found inside her home on the 1100 block of Kaighn Avenue around 10 a.m. on Aug. 28, 2013. She had been shot in the abdomen. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital and dropped off by a driver who fled before police arrived.

She ultimately survived after initially being listed in critical condition.
About an hour and a half later, Horne was captured while driving the victim’s car.
He told detectives he accidentally shot the victim during a domestic dispute, and that he was the one who dropped her off at the hospital.
A jury decided the shooting was not accidental, based on ballistics evidence presented and testimony given during the trial, authorities said.
The victim addressed the court during the sentencing. She said the event traumatized her, but that she had forgiven Horne.
