Sicklerville Man Fatally Shot In Camden: Prosecutor
Victor Lebron was known for his generosity and willingness to help others, according to his obituary.
CAMDEN, NJ — A Sicklerville man succumbed to his injuries one week after getting shot in Camden, officials said. The slaying of Victor Lebron remains under investigation, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).
Police responded to the shooting at about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9 on the 800 block of North 8th Street in the City of Camden, authorities said. Officers transported the victim — later identified as Lebron — to Cooper University Hospital.
Lebron, 26, remained in critical condition at the hospital for a week, the CCPO said. He was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m. Thursday. Lebron graduated from Paul VI High School in 2015 and went on to work as a truck driver, according to his obituary.
"Victor had a passion for cars," Lebron's obituary says. "His good-natured habit of critiquing his mom's cooking added a touch of humor to family gatherings. Victor was known for his humor, playfulness, and a for lightening the mood with a well-timed joke. He was also known for his generosity and willingness to assist others. Victor loved being a father and he cherished his relationship with his own father."
