Nancy Pelosi To Rally With Donald Norcross In Camden County
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will come to Gloucester Township to help Rep. Donald Norcross kick off his re-election bid next month.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Last month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi officially endorsed Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1) in his re-election bid. Next month, Pelosi will be in Camden County for a fundraiser, as the incumbent Congressman launches his 2020 campaign.
Pelosi will appear at a rally for Norcross in the Papiano Gymnasium on Camden County College’s Blackwood Campus on Feb. 29, according to an invitation issued the Norcross Campaign.
“Our jobs, our health care, higher education options, and the safety of our neighborhoods and the entire planet are on the line,” Norcross said in the invitation. “That's why I'm inviting you to join me and special guest Speaker Nancy Pelosi to celebrate our progressive values and fight back against the destructive Trump agenda.”

In offering her support for Norcross in December, Pelosi said, "From working tirelessly to provide our children with a high-quality education to protecting our national security and advocating for lower drug costs, Congressman Norcross always ensures that the issues of his constituents are at the forefront. Congressman Norcross is a relentless champion for labor and progressive issues who is fighting to increase Americans' paychecks at a time when the wages of our workers are falling further and further behind. His patriotic service in the Congress is respected throughout his state and the country. I am proud to support Donald Norcross' reelection."
"Speaker Pelosi and I share a deep commitment to standing up for what is right — including fair wages for working men and women, affordable access to health care, quality education and a sustainable environment — and we are working tirelessly to defend our democracy against President Trump and his administration's divisive, dangerous agenda," Norcross said. "I sincerely thank Speaker Pelosi for her trust and support as we work side–by–side to uphold America's values for the people we are elected to serve."

Norcross is in a race against pro-Trump Republican Claire Gustafson, a former Collingswood School Board Member who said she is “looking forward to Pelosi’s visit.”
“Nancy Pelosi coming to Camden County to support Donald Norcross is a near perfect illustration of the differences I have with Congressman Norcross,” Gustafson said. “Pelosi and Norcross support sanctuary states, abortion on demand, a sham impeachment and continually attack the Second Amendment. In Congress, I’ll say no to sanctuary states, no to abortion as a form of birth control, no to this impeachment nonsense and no to the assault on our Second Amendment.”
