'Suspicious' Interaction With Child Under Investigation In Gloucester Twp.: Police
Police are seeking a man after the incident involving a student walking home from school.
Update: The man has been identified, and the matter remains under investigation, police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities are seeking a man accused of having a "suspicious" interaction with a child Thursday morning in Gloucester Township.
At 11:45 a.m., police say they received a report of a "suspicious vehicle" contacting a girl walking home from Triton High School.

The student traveled down Evesham Road and the Black Horse Pike southbound before turning right onto Station Avenue, according to the Gloucester Township Police Department.
A vehicle then pulled next to her while she was on the sidewalk, police said. The man in the vehicle asked the girl whether she needed a ride, according to authorities. Police say the vehicle then sped off down Station Avenue towards Deptford Township.

Police described the vehicle as a dark-gray or black newer-model Honda Ridgeline with a black tri-fold bed cover, black and silver wheels, rain guards on the windows and a silver roof rack. The vehicle displayed unknown registration.
The adult was described as an older white male wearing a pink or orange shirt, authorities said. (See the photos above.)
