Talks on College Debt, Financial Aid Highlight Open House at CCC April 9

Gloucester Township, NJ -- The half-hour workshop “Ways to Pay for College” will be just one of the informative features of Camden County College’s 2016 Spring Open House, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 9 on the Blackwood Campus.

Prospective students of all ages and scholastic backgrounds are welcome to attend the event, which will offer “Ways to Pay for College” at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. CCC Financial Aid Office director Felicia Bryant will give the presentation and answer questions about paying for college, managing college-related debt and other topics relating to the cost of higher education.

Other workshops, “Enrolling at CCC” given by admissions director Steve D’Ambrosio and recruitment coordinator Melanie Monturano, and “Financial Literacy” given by TD Bank representatives, will be given at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. In addition, consultations on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form will be offered continuously throughout the event.

These sessions will complement the event’s other highlights. These will include faculty and staff representatives discussing the College’s more than 100 academic programs, student support services and extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs and special events.

Attendees will be able to take a student-led tour of the campus in one of the CCC buses; learn about NJ STARS, other merit scholarship opportunities and the Honors Program; and meet with advisors and transfer specialists. On-the-spot enrollment will be available as well.
