Teen Beat Man To Death In Camden County: Prosecutor
The victim died from his injuries a week after a 16-year-old knocked him out, authorities said.
MOUNT EPHRAIM, NJ — A Camden County teen has been charged with manslaughter after he knocked out a man who died from his injuries, authorities said.
A 16-year-old Collingswood male assaulted the victim — Oron Beebe, 46, of Mount Ephraim — on March 23, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). Beebe succumbed to his injuries about a week later, officials said.
Authorities haven't disclosed the juvenile suspect's name.

Mount Ephraim police were dispatched to a business parking lot at about 10:40 p.m. March 23 for a report of an unconscious man. They found Beebe lying on the ground with an apparent head injury in the lot at 20 W Kings Hwy., the CCPO said.
He was transported to Cooper University Hospital.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the suspect punched Beebe in the head, causing the victim to fall and his hit head on the ground, authorities said.
The suspect was charged with second-degree aggravated manslaughter on March 25, when authorities found him in Cherry Hill and arrested him.
Beebe was pronounced dead at about 1 a.m. Sunday at Cooper University Hospital. The teen's charge was upgraded to second-degree manslaughter. He remains in the Camden County Youth Detention Center.
