A teen collapsed and died while playing on a basketball court in South Jersey on Sunday, authorities said.

Anthony Dorrego, 18, of Blackwood collapsed on a basketball court in Gloucester Township, according to nj.com, while surrounded by his friends.

Dorrego, who graduated from Highland High School in Blackwood in June, fell down onto his hands and knees on the basketball court Sunday night, nj.com reported, and some thought he might have been joking around at first. They quickly realized something was wrong and a person from across the street performed CPR until the ambulance arrived.

Family members told CBS 3 that Dorrego, who died at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, was someone who “everyone looked up to,” and “loved to play basketball.”
