Teen Joyride In Stolen Car Ends In Crash, Charges: Gloucester Twp Cops
The teenagers were charged and released to their parents, police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Three teenagers were arrested on charges related to taking a stolen vehicle for a joyride and then crashing it, the Gloucester Township Police Department said.
Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash Monday about 11:30 a.m. on the Black Horse Pike in the Hilltop section of the township, officials said.
They learned that one of the vehicles had made an illegal U-turn and struck the other vehicle, and that three teenagers had fled from the striking vehicle after the crash, according to officials.

One of the teenagers returned to the scene of the crash while police were still at the scene and was arrested, while the other two were apprehended and arrested later on Monday along Lower Landing Road, officials said.
The investigation showed that the striking vehicle was stolen out of Philadelphia, according to officials.

One of the teenagers, a 17-year-old from 28th Street in Camden, was charged with third-degree receiving stolen property, officials said. The two other teenagers — a 17-year-old from the 3000 block of Mickle Street in Camden and the other a 16-year-old from North 32nd Street in Camden — were charged with fourth-degree unlawful taking of means of conveyance (joyriding), officials said.
All three were released to their parents after being charged, officials said.
No one involved from either vehicle in the crash was seriously hurt, according to police.
