The Best of Gloucester Township: Pizza
Bob Wankel continues his search for the best slice of pizza in town. No. 4 on his list is Antonino's Pizza.

Writer's Note: As a lifelong resident of Blackwood and, more importantly, someone who is completely incapable of cooking my own meals, I've had the opportunity to sample many of this township's fine restaurants. As such, I approached my editor about putting together a "Best of Gloucester Township" series in which I tour various dining establishments around town and rank each according to my personal preference.
Now, I have no formal training, nor have I previously moonlighted as a professional food critic, but I do consider myself quite a connoisseur of finer foods—you know, like pizza, hoagies, cheesesteaks, and, of course, wings.
We begin the series taking a look at the best slice of pizza in Gloucester Township. On to No. 4 of the countdown.

I began my pizza tour around Gloucester Township at this spot, and found it to be an enjoyable experience.
Much like Santini's, which was No. 5 on my list, Antonino's fits the profile of a standard pizza joint—it's clean, it's quick, but it's certainly more geared toward the delivery and takeout customer. If you are looking to sit down for a quick bite, Antonino's offers dine-in space, but it's very limited.
My slice at Antonino's cost $1.75, was standard size, and was served fresh out of the oven, so the melted cheese ran with a bite of its crispy crust.
While I didn't find the sauce to stand out, the strength of Antonino's slice is in its crust—it wasn't too doughy or too thick, and it had the right level of crunch.
I found the service to be both quick and friendly, and given its close proximity to my home in Valleybook, it's a place I'm likely to frequent again.
