Thief Buys Gas, Cigarettes With Stolen Debit Card: Gloucester Township Police

The suspect's vehicle is a small sedan with three missing hubcaps, police said.

GLOUCESTER TWP., NJ — Township police are seeking a suspect whom they say took a debit card from a lost wallet and used it for cigarettes and gasoline.

The victim told police they accidentally lost their wallet in Gloucester Premium Outlets between 7 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. Someone used the debit card from that wallet to buy $248.62 worth of gas and cartons of cigarettes at the Little Gloucester Road Wawa, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect, and said they also tried to use the debit card at Pantry 1 Food Mart on Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Woodlynne early Saturday morning, but the transaction was declined. The suspect's vehicle was also caught on surveillance cameras.
