Timber Creek QB Rebounds, Triton Duo Impresses in Week 2 Football Wins
Highland fell just short of its first win of the year.

For the second week in a row, the Black Horse Pike Regional High School District football teams went 2-1.
After throwing two early interceptions, Timber Creek High School quarterback Khalil Trotman made the difference in the Chargers win over Cherokee in a positive way, according to nj.com.
Trotman threw for 143 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Timber Creek’s 22-14 win Friday night. He also had the game-winning score on a 12-yard run in the fourth quarter with the game tied at 14-14. Timber Creek converted a two-point conversion for the final score.

Trotman’s 25-yard pass to Shaquese Mcintyre to open the scoring in the first quarter.
McIntyre also threw a touchdown pass, to Noah Ellison for 64 yards in the second quarter.

But each time Timber Creek scored, Cherokee had an answer, until the end.
Timber Creek improved to 2-0.
A week after giving their team a one-point win on a two point conversion, Jake McGlinchey and Kevin Bucceroni hooked up for three touchdowns in Triton’s 30-6 win over Woodrow Wilson.
McGlinchey threw two touchdown passes to Bucceroni, one covering 7 yards and the other covering 2 yards. In the third, McGlinchey hit Bucceroni for a 16-yard score.
Dominic Staiano also found his way onto the scoreboard, following a 7-yard run.
Triton improved to 2-0.
Highland fell one point short of picking up its first win, falling to Bordentown, 25-24.
Highland held the lead at halftime behind a pair of touchdown passes from Derin Sweeney, one of 66 yards to Thomas Lawus and another 8 yards to Isaiah Bowers. Orlando Council accounted for the other first half touchdown, on a 4-yard run, and Highland held a 12-6 lead at halftime.
Bordentown scored twice in the fourth quarter to take a 25-12 lead.
Highland had the chance to tie following a 32-yard touchdown pass from Sweeney to Johnathan Lovenduski. The Tartans failed to convert the PAT kick, though.
The two teams were a combined 1-for-8 on PAT kicks.
Highland fell to 0-2.
