Timber Creek Set For Battle Of Unbeatens In South Jersey Football Title Game
The Chargers face Lenape for the South Jersey Group 4 title at Rowan University on Dec. 4, 2:30 p.m.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- An undefeated team is poised to win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 football championship.
Top-seeded Lenape (10-0) will face No. 2 Timber Creek (10-0) in the championship game at Rowan University on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2:30 p.m., according to the bracket posted on nj.com.
The teams set up the showdown with dominant performances in the semifinals on Friday night.

Lenape defeated No. 5 Highland Regional, 28-6, according to nj.com.
Matt Lajoie threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Jake Topolski and scored on a 17-yard run for Lenape. Joseph Kellum scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 3 yards.

Brian Cooey scored Highland’s lone touchdown, on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Lenape defeated No. 8 Woodrow Wilson, 21-11 in the quarterfinals.
Highland is now 8-2, and will host Black Horse Pike Regional School District rival Triton (3-6) on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 10 a.m.
Timber Creek advanced with a 38-14 win over No. 3 Shawnee, according to nj.com.
Devin Leary threw four touchdown passes and scored on a 1-yard run in the win.
He threw two of his scoring strikes to Dante Waugh-Hill, on throws of 24 and 53 yards. He also connected with Ezrah Archie on a 12-yard scoring play, and with Blaine Shade on an 18-yard pass.
Shawnee held a 14-9 lead in the second half, but Timber Creek scored 29 unanswered points to go home with the win. It was the fifth straight year the teams have met in the playoffs, and it is the third win in a row for the Chargers.
In the quarterfinals, Timber Creek downed No. 7 Absegami, 59-21.
Each team has one more hurdle to overcome before their date in the championship game.
Lenape visits Shawnee (8-2) at 10:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
Timber Creek visits Winslow Township at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
