Both juveniles pleaded guilty as adults to their roles in the murder in March, when they admitted that they intended to obatin marijuana from Lamar Ortiz, a 20-year-old resident of the Autumn Ridge Apartments in Gloucester Township, on July 15, 2013. They said they had no intentions of paying for it.

They admitted to contacting a friend who knew Ortiz and drove with him and a fourth man to Ortiz’s apartment. The fourth man was Joshua Texiador, 20, of Westampton.

When they arrived, Ortiz came to the vehicle’s passenger window and talked with the group. They asked him to show them the marijuana they wanted to buy and he refused.
