GLOUCESTER TWP., NJ — Police are reminding ATV and dirt bike riders that they can be ticketed if they aren't operating their vehicles properly in Gloucester Township.

A township ordinance prohibits the operation of motorized scooters, mini-bikes, trail-bikes, go-peds, dirt bikes, quads, etc. on private property without the owner/occupant's written permission.
These vehicles are also prohibited on public grounds such as parks, school properties, and ball fields; public sidewalks and streets designated for pedestrian use; and common areas such as parking lots and open-space areas in apartment complexes and developments.
Users also may not operate off-road vehicles in a way that endangers people, or to create unnecessary noise, the ordinance states.
