Whiz Kids: This Week's Hit His First Baseball

Richie Matteo will be a first-grader at Kingdom Charter School in August.

  • Whiz Kid's Name - Richie Matteo
  • Whiz Kid's Age - 6
  • Whiz Kid's School -
  • Whiz Kid's Accomplishment - Richie, a soon-to-be first-grader, makes everything look easy. This year, he made his first hit in T-ball (without the tee) and in June, he learned how to ride a bike without training wheels. Big stuff for a 6-year-old! Besides these athletic endeavors, Richie helps his mom make care packages for the troops serving overseas.
  • Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness - Richie's mom, Stevie Matteo, says that Richie's key to awesomeness is his kindness and his stubborn nature. Richie never gives up and he is always the first child to include other children in play. Richie is a kind, sweet little boy who is destined to do great things!
