Driver Charged In Hit-And-Run That Seriously Hurt South Jersey Girl: Police
The collision left the victim, 10, in critical condition, authorities said.
BRIDGETON, NJ — A South Jersey driver was charged Thursday after striking and seriously injuring a 10-year-old girl in Bridgeton, authorities said.
Sierra A. Thomas, 28, of Bridgeton, was charged with knowingly leaving an accident that resulted in serious injury and endangering an injured victim.
Last week, Bridgeton police sought the driver of a white SUV. The driver fled the scene Wednesday evening after striking a girl who was crossing the street, according to law enforcement.

After identifying the driver, officials took Thomas into custody. She was released with a future court date.
The girl, a Bridgeton resident, was hospitalized after the collision, police said. Officials flew her to Cooper Medical Center for serious injuries, which left her in critical condition as of Thursday.
