Yogo Factory Almost Ready for Customers

Progress has been made on the construction of the highly-anticipated frozen yogurt shop, which is expected to open around the second week of August.

Its been a long wait for Gloucester Township residents to get their frozen yogurt fix, but that wait is almost over.

Yogo Factory, a rapidly expanding create-your-own frozen yogurt shop that has become quite a hit across South Jersey, is expected to be opening in Glocuester Township in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Brian Petruzzi, the founder and owner of Yogo Factory, is excited to finally open the new store, which is located at Cross Keys Commons on Berlin-Cross Keys Road.

“This store is the most we're excited about out of our 30 stores,” said Petruzzi. “Most anticipated, most excited to open.”

The wait has been a long one for Petruzzi. The original plan was for the brand new building to be finished with construction in January and for the store to open in March. However, a combination of construction delays has caused the opening to be pushed back.

Petruzzi explained that the building was not owned and constructed by Yogo Factory, so they didn't have control of when the building could be finished and when the company could move in.

“Its the fact that its a brand new building,” said Petruzzi. “We're unable to obtain permits (from Gloucester Township) until the building systems are existing.”

The good news is that the waiting is over. Petruzzi said that he officially got the go-ahead to move into the building just over a week ago. A full construction crew is expected to start putting together the interior of the building on Monday.

The long wait has been just as daunting for Petruzzi. He said that Gloucester Township residents have been extremely excited about receiving a Yogo Factory since it was announced.

“The response to our Facebook has been better than any store we have,” said Petruzzi. “We hit 5,000 Facebook fans in six weeks. In Haddon Twp., that store has the same amount fans, but (Sicklerville) hasn't opened yet.”

In addition to Yogo Factory, Petruzzi is involved in various other business ventures. He also is the owner of an Island Sun Tanning franchise in Sicklerville that is located just down the road from the soon-to-be opened Yogo Factory. The success of his tanning salon made the expansion of Yogo Factory to the area an easy one.

“We have a very good business at the salon,” he said. “The township is very good for employees, they're 'A' class”

“With and nearby, we know we're going to be successful there,” stated Petruzzi about the location. “There's really no healthy dessert options from anywhere around there.”

While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, Petruzzi said that they are hoping to open in the second week of August. He encouraged residents to like the store's Facebook page, where the grand opening date will be officially announced soon.

For the grand opening, Yogo Factory will be having a ton of promotions for customers. These include giving away 10,000 free t-shirts to customers as well as 4 ounces of free frozen yogurt to every person who visits the first day.
