Spending Unchanged in 2013 for Hackettstown BID
Business Improvement District event income hits $50,000.

The Hackettstown Business Improvement District’s 2013 budget was recently presented to the mayor and council recently, coming in at $218,000.
Of that figure, $50,000 has been generated through event income, according to the BID’s Executive Director Jim Sheldon.
The remainder of that figure is comprised of the BID’s members’ assessment income, which is set at $180,000 for the 2013 calendar year, unchanged from 2012, Sheldon said.

That assessment income is a gross amount, Sheldon said, with the net amount at $168,000–allowing for $12,000 of non-calendar year payments. The assessment and event income totals amount to the total budget.
The BID is behind many of Hackettstown’s annual functions, including the Blast Carnival, Street Fair, Hometown Holiday and St. Patrick’s Day Parade, among others.
