Bridge Work to Cause 8-Month Rt. 57 Detour

Airport Road will be used as detour route, police say.

A bridge deck replacement on Route 57 in Mansfield will detour traffic around retail areas for up to eight months beginning around Feb. 25, Washington Township police said.

While the work is technically in Mansfield Township, detour signs have been posted in Washington Township and Hackettstown as well to alert motorists of the upcoming project.

The detour will begin at Route 57 and Airport Road for Westbound traffic, Lt. Doug Compton said. The detour will send traffic up Airport Road to Rockport Road and the to Main Street / Port Murray Road.

Eastbound traffic will continue to flow normally, Compton said.
