Hackettstown woman taken to hospital after colliding with Stanhope woman.

A two-car crash on the border of Washington Township and Hackettstown Monday night ended up with a struck utility pole and one motorist being sent to the hospital, Washington Township Police Lt. Art Adams said.
Olga Alvarez, 49, of Stanhope was traveling east on Rt. 46 near the intersection of East Avenue, when Catherine Wolff, 21, of Hackettstown, attempted turning left on East Avenue from the westbound direction of Rt. 46, Adams said.
Alvarez attempted avoiding a collision with Wolff, Adams said, but struck the car’s driver’s side right front area, then veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole on the shoulder of Rt. 46.
