Explore Mansfield Photo Contest

We hope that you will get outdoors and explore the many open space areas of Mansfield
Township. Capture that original and maybe unexpected moment of joy or beauty in our
Township and it could be featured!

Your images should align with one of the three categories: nature, landscapes and
architecture. All photos must have been taken in Mansfield Township in 2016 through the deadline in 2017. Here are some ideas for each category to help you get started!

1. CATEGORY: Nature (life photographed out in nature)
• Native plants
• Flowers (floral portraits, fields of wildflowers, close-up images of flowers)
• Seasons
• Trees
• Underwater
• Wildlife – mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and non-flying insects
• Winged life – birds or flying insects in flight, perched or in action
• Aquatic life – marine animals that spend the majority of their time in water
***No domestic animals, pets or caged animals***

2. CATEGORY: Landscapes (show outdoor beauty - wild places with a unique perspective such
as expansive landscape vistas of forests and mountains and rivers)
• Forests
• Mountains
• Ponds
• Rivers
• Sunrise/Sunset
• Trails
• Farms

3. CATEGORY: Architecture (elements of design such as line, shape, pattern, form, texture,
and perspective)
• Historic
• Buildings
• Bridges
• Barns/Farm structures

We look forward to highlighting winners within official publications and online publications of the Township of Mansfield! Have fun and submit your best shots exploring all the beauty of Mansfield Township! Winners will be announced April 2017!

The Explore Mansfield Photo Contest begins at 12:00 am August 14th, 2016 and closes at 11:59
PM March 1, 2017. The competition is presented by the Mansfield Township Environmental
Commission in partnership with the Open Space Advisory Committee and funded by a grant
from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC).

Be sure to set your camera to take photos that can be printed 8x10, if file is to large for emailing, resave the file to smaller format but keep the original as it may be requested from Township for print production purposes. Alternatively, if you have a google account, upload your photo to the Google Drive (this can accept file sizes larger than what may be allowed as an attachment on email) and then send the link to that photo submission via email.
