Hackettstown Medical Center Launches Tele-ICU Services
Partnership with Advanced ICU Care Will Deliver 24/7 Coverage to Critically Ill Patients

Atlantic Health System’s Hackettstown Medical Center, along with Advanced ICU Care, the nation’s largest provider of high-acuity telemedicine services, announced today the launch of tele-ICU services at Hackettstown Medical Center. This partnership offers patients advanced critical care through a state-of-the-art telemedicine program that has shown promising results at other Atlantic Health System hospitals, including Newton and Chilton medical centers.
Advanced ICU Care’s team of intensivists and critical care nurses work around-the-clock complementing the care provided by Hackettstown Medical Center physicians. The program continuously monitors patient vital signs, medications, labs and clinical status.

“This partnership with Advanced ICU Care is part of our commitment to continually innovate and improve services for our patients and our community,” said Joe DiPaolo, president of Hackettstown Medical Center. “The addition of around-the-clock telemonitoring by intensivist physicians will allow our ICU team and physicians in the hospital to maintain providing the highest level of quality care for our ICU patients.”
Furthermore, proactive data management tools will identify problems before they become urgent, prompting immediate intervention when necessary. Two-way video access in each patient’s room enables face-to-face consultations between the bedside and Advanced ICU Care team. This constant monitoring ensures that help is available when needed.
