Hackettstown Men Had 10 Open Beers, Cocaine In Car: Police

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Two men were arrested after police found open beer bottles and cocaine in their car, police said.

Just after midnight on May 12, police pulled over a car on Schooley's Mountain Road for a traffic stop, police said. Officers said they could smell alcohol, and an investigation found 10-12 open beer bottles, three bags of cocaine, and an empty bag with cocaine residue, police said.

The driver Franklin E Nunez, 28, and the passenger, Oscar A Flores, 35, both from Hackettstown, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. They were released with a mandatory court date.
