Man Accused of Sexual Activity With a Minor

A Mansfield Township man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, Warren County Prosecutor Richard Burke said.

Jarred Echevarria, 26, was arrested for engaging in sexual activity “which would debauch the morals of the child,” Burke said. The victim is 15 years old and known to Echevarria, Burke said.

Bail was set at $25,000 with no 10-percent option. Echevarria is also not allowed to have contact with the victim or anyone under the age of 18, Burke said.

Echevarria is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. If convicted, Echevarria faces up to five years in state prison if convicted
