HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 33-year-old Hackettstown woman was arrested and charged with a wiretap offense and harassment for allegedly bugging a stuffed animal, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

Authorities said that Heather Bamford placed a recording device that was discovered by her ex-husband inside their child's Minnie Mouse doll. Police said Bamford gave the stuffed animal to her child prior to the father picking up the child and the device was to record her ex-husband without his knowledge.

The recorder was found after the man pushed the button on the stuffed animal for it to make noise but instead, he began hearing his child’s voice, police said.
