Officials renamed roadway, welcomed short-term business to town.
Hundreds of spectators, customers and fans of M&M products spent an afternoon in Hackettstown Tuesday, as the town proclaimed Oct. 16 Mars Chocolate North America Day.
In conjunction with the ribbon-cutting ceremony that would officially mark the grand opening of the chocolate manufacturers first-ever "pop-up" store, a portion of High Street was renamed M&M's Chocolate Avenue.
Local and state-level officials came out to support and recognize the company, whose factory has been located in town since 1958.
