Paintpourri celebrates 37 Years in Hackettstown

January 23, 2017 - Hackettstown, NJ - Opened in 1980 by the Capano family, Paintpourri has graced Mountain Avenue for the past 37 years. The 3rd generation family-operated business, started with modest beginnings and has grown along with Hackettstown.

When they opened on February 1st 1980, at 324 Mountain Avenue, the road was a two-lane road that now has grown to five lanes and has become home to many of the largest retail businesses in the area. From a humble start, with no experience in the industry, the family persevered and became the area's largest Benjamin Moore Paint and Hunter Douglas Window Treatment dealer. Over the years, the business has grown and prospered with expertise being passed down to each generation.

Matt and Jason Capano attribute the long-standing success to their ability to change with the times, embracing new technology and techniques, but also, the strength of family. Especially when opening and in the early years, Paintpourri has benefitted from the help of many family members and a great team of employees and is grateful for the many loyal customers and contractors that support their business.

As they have faced the many challenges with small business ownership, they’ve expanded their offerings to include not just paint, but window coverings, wallpaper and carpet. With a wide variety of home improvement offerings, dedicated and experienced staff along with quality and personable customer service, Paintpourri has become a trusted small business in Hackettstown.
