Pair Of Pedestrians Struck In Hackettstown: Police
Carley McDonald struck the two victims in a crosswalk, police said.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 25-year-old Flanders woman was issued a summons after striking a pair of pedestrians with her car while they were in a crosswalk on Dec. 16, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.
According to authorities, shortly before 1:30 p.m. the Hackettstown Police and Hackettstown
Rescue Squad responded to the intersection of Main Street and West Moore Street for a report of two pedestrians that were struck by a motor vehicle.
Through an investigation, it was determined that Carley McDonald was driving a 2010 Honda and when she made a left turn from East Moore Street onto Main Street when she struck 72-year-old Andres Bravo-Barrera of Hackettstown and 62-year-old Honorina Deleon-Garcia of Hackettstown who were crossing in a marked crosswalk and had the pedestrian walk signal, police said. Bravo-Barrera suffered a leg injury and Deleon-Garcia suffered a head injury, police said.

Both were transported to Hackettstown Medical Center. McDonald was not injured but was issued a summons for failing to stop for pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said.
