Pedestrian Crossing Street Signs Set for Town
April 27 morning event designed to alert walkers, drivers about sharing the road.

With a bustling main street and business district such as the one that courses through Hackettstown, sharing the road between vehicles and pedestrians is a must.
That’s why the Hackettstown Police Department and Business Improvement District are teaming up to hold a Pedestrian Education Awareness Event on April 27. Officer and community volunteers will be available at the Main Street Gazebo and the corner of Main and Moore Streets from 9 to 11 a.m. to provide information and education.
Donated by Me To You Consigments, in-street pedestrian crossing signs will soon be posted reminding all vehicles to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, the police department said.
