Scarecrow Contest Returns to HKTWN better than ever!

Sept, 23, 2014 Hackettstown, NJ - The Hackettstown Business Improvement District, WRNJ Radio and the Express-Times have teamed up again to bring the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Contest. Like the inaugural event, HKTWN BID businesses will be displaying Scarecrows around town in this years theme ‘Super Hero’s, so look for your favorite character at your favorite shops!

New this year there are two additional divisions. Community Groups / Organization are invited to enter the contest and display their Super Hero themed Scarecrow and also Families / Individuals in their own division.

HKTWN BID Executive Director Jim Sheldon, “Our business owners are true Super Hero’s for their commitment and dedication they have to operate their shops. We look forward to seeing their creative scarecrows on display. With the addition of the two new divisions it will be very interesting to see how all three divisions come together through our 2nd annual scarecrow contest. During the celebration of Halloween will be an excellent time for visitors to enjoy all of the scarecrows around town.”

To enter Just email (staff@hackettstownbid.com) or call 850-5004 the HKTWN BID office and get us your contact information and which Super Hero you will be immortalizing. The event is FREE to all participants so have fun in this new town tradition. Official rules will be available on the HTKWN BID website (hackettstownbid.com). You must contact the BID Office no later than October 7th to be eligible to participate.

The Consumer / Shopper contest continues as well. How does this contest work? (A) Start with your Scarecrow Game Card available at the HBID office as well as each of the participating business. (B) When you visit each business, admire their scarecrow and stop in to get a sticker for your Game Card. (C) Once you have a completed Scarecrow Game Card, (D) return it to the office to be entered in the drawing for $100.00 in BID Bucks!
