Spring Shredding Event by Hackettstown Rotary Club is Open to All

The bi-annual Shredding Event will be held again this spring, on April 5 from 9am until noon (or until the truck is full) on the grounds of the Fulton Bank parking lot at 176 Mountain Ave, Hackettstown . The cost will be $5 per bag or box, with all proceeds going to the many community organizations that the Rotary supports.

All communities are welcome to participate.

“ This is such a fun event for our Rotary team, as everyone who shows up on that day is invariably happy and cheerful. I think they know it’s fun to get a great deal, but also wonderful to know that you are supporting a good cause. And it’s great for us to see so many of our neighbors and community members that day!” says Catherine Rust, the current president of the club and foundation.

The Shredding Day will also include a representative from Abilities of Warren County, who will be accepting recyclable Electronics throughout the morning. There is no charge for recycling regular electronics (such as computers and accessories, audio visual components, small office equipment, telephone and cell phones, & small kitchen appliances ), however there will be a $25 charge to recycle large-screen TVs.

Some of the 35 local organizations that the Hackettstown Rotary Foundation supports include: Abilities, Alina Lodge addiction recovery, The Arc of Warren County, CASA SHAW, DASACC (Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center), Gift of Life, Hackettstown Library, Scholarships for Hackettstown HS and Warren Cty Technical School students, Hackettstown Medical Center Foundation, Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Trinity and local food pantries, and in the International Peace program—the Cure Blindness initiative of the Himalayan Cataract Project.
