Two Injured In DWI Crash: Hackettstown Police

The driver faces assault by auto charges, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A man and women Hackettstown were injured after their car was struck by a drunk driver, Hackettstown police said.

Jason Conklin, 30, of Hackettstown, was allegedly drunk when he ran a stop sign and struck another car the intersection of West Moore Street and Madison Street on March 11, police said.

Both passengers of the other car, a 47-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man from Hackettstown, were taken to Hackettstown Medical Center. The woman was complaining of neck and wrist pain, and the man was complaining of chest pain, police said.

Conklin was charged with assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, failure to stop, and reckless driving. He was released with an upcoming court date.
