Wanted Woman Arrested Twice in Three Days, Cops Say

Hackettstown resident originally jailed for defrauding bank, having drugs, police say.

A Hackettstown woman was arrested Monday for the second time in three days when police served a wanted person warrant, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

Megan Harvey, 26, was wanted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear in court on a prescription drug possession charge, Tynan said.

Police arrived on Mountain Avenue at 3:41 p.m. Monday and found Harvey exiting her vehicle, Tynan said. When police approached her they found Harvey to have a hypodermic needle in her possession and she was arrested, according to said.

She was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and turned over to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

for defrauding a local bank stemming from an investigation that began in December 2012.

She posted bail on both arrests over the weekend.
