Water Line Repair Forces High Street Detour

Detours set for seven-hour period Wednesday between Main Street and Franklin Street.

A portion of High Street will be closed Wednesday between Main Street and Franklin Street for repairs on a broken water line, Hackettstown police said.

From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Hackettstown Municipal Utilities Authority will be working to fix a water line, and a detour will be used for motorists in the area.

Police officers will be on scene assisting drivers. The detour will be East Plane Street to Franklin Street to High Street for drivers heading toward High Street, and Franklin Street to East Plane Street to Main Street for drivers already on High Street.
