Do you know....
- The Hackettstown Community Band has been a continuously organized group in Hackettstown since 1947.
- We have a full range of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments.
- We are in fact 2 bands in one - a concert band as well as a marching band! Members can participate in one or both bands with no obligation to participate in either at any time.
- As a group, we perform concerts or participate in local parades – you may have seen us playing Christmas carols on the streets of Hackettstown, or may have seen us marching up the street during St. Patrick’s Day!
- We play a wide variety of music: marches, overtures, show tunes, popular music, jazz.
- Our membership ranges from talented junior high students to professional musicians and our membership is open, with no auditions and no fees. You will need to bring your own instrument, but we will provide the music.
- Practice is held every Thursday from 7:30-9:00 pm at the Hackettstown Community Center in Hackettstown. No advance notice is required for new members to attend practice.
Come out and see what we are all about! Our next performance is a parade in Philippsburg celebrating the 150 year Anniversary. Or, look for us Thursday, December 11, at the Panther Valley Ecumenical Church to hear some classic and not so classic holiday tunes.
