You Can Earn $100,000 Working At Taco Bell

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ - What if we told you that you could earn a six-figure salary working at an area restaurant, you'd probably guess we were talking about one of the fancy, white table-cloth spots, right? Well, what if we told you it was Taco Bell?

Yum! Brands, which owns the Mexican fast-food chain, announced Thursday that, later this year, it will be testing $100,000 annual salaries for general managers of company-owned Taco Bells in select locations.

The announcement was part of a series of initiatives the company rolled out Thursday that is says are meant to enhance restaurant performance, employee satisfaction, recruitment and retention.

Right here in Sussex County there is location at 1925 NJ-57 256 NJ-23, Franklin, NJ 07416.. And over the border in Warren County there is a location in Hackettstown.

In Morris County, there are Taco Bells located at:

• 268 Route 10, Succasunna, NJ 07876
• 321 NJ-15, Wharton, NJ 07885
• 1560 US-46, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054
• 170 NJ-10, East Hanover, NJ 07936

The company did not announce which locations will test out the $100,000 manager's salary.

Current salaries for the managers of company-owned Taco Bell restaurants range from $50,000-$80,000, Bloomberg reported.

Other programs that Yum! announced Thursday included "Makers," a program for employees who may not want to be managers but want to get leadership experience and "elevate their passion for the brand."

The company also announced that all nationwide company employees can become eligible to receive at least 24 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, starting in 2020.

Also, Yum! has a plan to make all of Taco Bell's packaging material used by customers recyclable, compostable or reusable by 2025. Recycling or composting bins will be added to all restaurants where it's possible and PFAS, Phthalates and BPA — potentially hazardous substances used in plastics — will be removed from all customer-facing packaging materials.
