4th Round Of Interviews Set To Fill Vacant Haddonfield Board Seat

It is the fourth set of closed session interviews as officials look to appoint a replacement for John Moscatelli.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Interviews with candidates for the Haddonfield Commissioner's Seat vacated by John Mascatelli will continue next week, officials announced on Tuesday.

Mayor Neal Rochford and Commissioner Jeffrey Stephen Kasko will interview candidates in a special closed work session meeting on Monday, June 24, 6:30 p.m. in Room 201 of Haddonfield Borough Hall.

It will be the fourth set of interviews, following closed session interviews that took place on June 13, 14 and 15.

No date was given in which the seat will be filled. Moscatelli announced that he would resign last month because he is moving out of the area. He will formally resign once a replacement is appointed.

That person will serve until a special election is held to fill the remainder of the unexpired term. That special election will take the same day New Jersey will hold general elections, on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Petitions to run in the special election are now available through the clerk's office and must be completed and returned by Tuesday, Sept. 3. All candidates with valid petitions will be placed on the ballot for the special election. For more information, contact smccullough@haddonfield-nj.gov.
