'Armed And Dangerous' Teen At Large After Killing Man In South Jersey: Police

A day after the victim was shot dead, police say the suspect is still on the loose.

BRIDGETON, NJ — A teen who was charged with murder in South Jersey is at large, police said Monday.

James E. Snead Jr., 19, fatally shot another man Sunday in Bridgeton, Cumberland County, authorities said. Police were still looking for him as of 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Snead should be considered "armed and dangerous," since authorities couldn't find a weapon at the scene, according to Bridgeton police.

Officers responded to the shooting at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Cottage Avenue in Bridgeton. The victim — Kevon Williams, 24, of Bridgeton — was pronounced dead at the scene.

After further investigation, Snead was charged with murder and weapons offenses.

Snead lives on Bridgeton's Baltimore Avenue, police said.
