Changes Likely Coming To PATCO's Westmont Station
The Delaware River Port Authority said bids are due to this week for a project that would give the station a new look.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A project that would give the Port Authority Transit Company's Westmont Station in Haddon Township a new look is moving closer to starting, the Delaware River Port Authority said.
The authority is soliciting bids until 2 p.m. Tuesday from companies who, if awarded the bid, would be expected to make the following improvements to the Port Authority Transit Company (PATCO) Station, according to a bid request released last month:
- knocking down some of the aluminum and glass doors, storefront system and glass block walls at the station head-houses;
- providing new aluminum and glass curtain-wall system at the station head-houses and new entry doors;
- conducting various concrete repairs;
- installing a new ceiling system in the head-houses;
- providing new fluid-applied floor finish system; new light fixtures; and new windscreens at
the platforms; and - painting various parts of the building.
Bids for the project are due by 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the authority.

The request for bids did not indicate a date that PATCO would like the work should be started or completed.
