Richard J. Fuschino Jr. noted the wheels of justice are moving slowly in this case during a status conference Monday morning.

Haddon Township, NJ -- The attorney for a Haddon Township man who is charged with murder in the death of his 3-year-old son is still reviewing “voluminous” amounts of digital data he’s received from the prosecution, nj.com reports.

Richard J. Fuschino Jr. said his client, David Creato, is “gearing up for trial” in a case in which the wheels of justice are turning slowly during a status conference Monday morning.

Brendan Creato’s biological mother, Samantha Denoto, appeared in court along with her boyfriend, as did David Creato’s parents, David and Lisa. They all declined to comment, according to the report.

David Creato reported his son missing the morning of Oct. 13, and a few hours later, Brendan Creato’s body was found in wooded area off South Park Drive in Haddon Township.

Assistant Prosecutor Christine Shah has used the phrase“homicidal violence of unknown etymology” in describing the death. The motive laid out involves his girlfriend, who has been vocal about the fact that she dislikes children. The prosecution says David Creato’s paranoia about losing her motivated him to kill his son.
