Fall Festivals/Second Saturday/Fairy Ball: What's Happening In South Jersey

Fall is here, and it is kicking into high gear this weekend. What is there to do? The following is a list of upcoming events throughout South Jersey, courtesy our friends at Visit South Jersey:
South Jersey Pumpkin Show
October 13, 14, & 15 | 10 AM - 5 PM
Salem County Fairgrounds, Woodstown
The South Jersey Pumpkin Show is fun for the whole family! Festival goers can enjoy pumpkin desserts, more than one hundred artists and craftsmen, contests, giveaways, live bands, wine sampling, hayrides, and much more! There will be a Fall Home, Garden and Farm Expo, as well as a Largest Baked Pumpkin Pie competition! There will also be free competitions to enter such as the All Breed Fun Dog Parade, Decorated Fall Baby Strollers, and Halloween Costume Contest and everyone will receive a ribbon and goody bag for participating.

Superstition Masquerade Ball

Fairy Ball

Garden State Discovery Museum, Cherry Hill
The Fairy Queen has requested your presence at the Royal Fairy Ball! Upon your arrival to the Garden State Discovery Museum, your name will be announced to everyone at court. From there guests can take pictures with the Fairy Queen and other princesses, as well as create fabulous fairy crafts. You can even take a carriage ride. Don’t forget to wear your best royal attire!

Batsto River Naturalist Guided Paddle Tour
Saturday, October 14 | 8:30 AM - 4 PM
Pinelands Adventures, Shamong
Immerse yourself in a unique Pine Barrens journey led by guide and naturalist John Volpa. During this trip you will explore on water and land. You will learn about Pine Barrens habitats, history, plants, and animals. This trip begins at Quaker Bridge on the Batsto River and ends at Batsto Lake.

Medford Apple Festival
Saturday, October 14 | 9 AM - 4 PM
Kirby’s Mill, Medford
The Medford Apple Festival will have more than one hundred craft booths, along with art demonstrations, music, and children’s activities! There will be plenty of amazing apple products to taste and bring home including apple cider and apple cider doughnuts! Admission is free and all the proceeds from the festival will benefit the Medford Historical Society and it’s ongoing restoration of the Kirby’s Mill complex.

Barnyard Bash

Coombs Barnyard, Elmer
Coombs Barnyard is celebrating Peachy the pig every Saturday in October! Come visit the barnyard for hayrides, pumpkin picking and decorating, animal visits, and barrel train rides! For the first time ever, there will also be a corn maze!

Haddonfield’s Fall Festival & Craft Show
Saturday, October 14 | 10 AM - 5 PM
Downtown Haddonfield
The festival will feature more than one hundred crafters offering seasonal items, decor, pottery, clothing, glassware, and other handcrafted wares. A variety of Haddonfield’s community groups will be on hand to educate and inform attendees about their specific organization and activities. There will be live performances throughout the day from The Midnight Judges and the Lonesome Turnpike Ramblers. During the event the Haddonfield Farmers Market will be open in Kings Court for all to enjoy!

Deptford Township Fall Festival

Andaloro Farms, Deptford Township
Eat your heart out from a variety of food trucks including Flamin Foods, Beast of the Street, Lil Trent’s Grille, Cannoli World, and Pop Shop a Go Go. There will be a beer and wine garden presented by Bobcat Liquors and live music from Jake’s Rockin Country Band.

Second Saturday Arts Crawl

Downtown Mount Holly
