Greater South Jersey Chorus Opens Season At Grace Church In Haddonfield
The Artists Showcase is an opportunity for chorus members to show off their musical talents.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Greater South Jersey Chorus kicks off its 2017-18 season with a concert featuring poetic art songs, lofty arias, and lyrical duets performed by individual chorus members. The Artists Showcase will take place on Sunday, Oct. 22, 3 p.m. at Grace Church. The church is located at 19 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield.
“If you are a person who typically avoids classical recitals, you will be surprised. We have something different in store for you this year — the lighter side of the classics,” Greater South Jersey Chorus President John Vovak said. “Though all of the pieces come from the realm of the traditional literature, there is a lightness to the selections."
The Greater South Jersey Chorus is an auditioned ensemble made up of 90 singers. Dr. Christopher B. Thomas is the Artistic Director, and Maximillian Esmus is the Accompanist. The Artists Showcase is an opportunity for chorus members to show off their musical talents, performing solo and small ensemble works from the classical repertoire.
