Restaurant Closing Storefront In South Jersey After 11 Years

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The entirely vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free fast-casual restaurant, "goodbeet," is closing its location at 29 Haddon Ave.

"The way the restaurant industry has been is not for the weak, I'll tell you that," said goodbeat owner, Ashley. "...and neither is trying to find people to cook...a restaurant friend said the other day, 'trying to find people to cook is like looking in a black hole' and that couldn't be more accurate."

The business, packing everything from burgers to lattes, is not going away, however.

In the future, ownership plans to have pop-up appearances, wholesale accounts, and other branded products.

The last full kitchen day for goodbeat will be on October 9. Grab-and-go counter orders, full wholesale service, and meal prep will be available through October 31.

"Thank you for the almost 11 years of support, memories, friendships, connections, and trusting me to employ your kids!!" added Ashley. "Thank you times five hundred - I couldn't have had the success without all of you."

Goodbeat products are also offered in a number of restaurants, cafes, gyms, studios, stores throughout the region.
