Haddonfield 4-H Member Attends Leadership Conference In Ireland

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A Haddonfield Memorial High School junior went overseas for an international experience this summer. Scarlett Kinsey was one of 10 New Jersey 4-H members who attended the 2019 International Leadership for Life Conference, according to Camden County officials. The conference, hosted by Ireland-based youth development organization Foroige, includes 250 high school students from Ireland, the United States and India.

Attendees participated in one of three modules of the Leadership for Life Program while at the conference and engaged in over 15 hours of leadership workshops and heard from guest speakers who shared their personal leadership journey and inspired them to achieve their goals.

Kinsey and the other New Jersey 4-H members completed the Advanced Leadership Module at the 11th annual conference, was held at the National University of Ireland in Maynooth, Ireland from July 29 to Aug. 2.

The delegates will now plan and conduct a service project in an effort to positively impact their local communities.

“The Freeholder Board is extremely proud of the young leaders participating in 4-H and their extraordinary representation of Camden County and our community,” Camden County Freeholder Jeffery Nash said. “We’re excited to see how these incredible young people put their skills and talents to work for the betterment of themselves and those around them.”
