Haddonfield Chefs, Restaurant Nominated For Garden State Culinary Awards
The Garden State Culinary Arts Awards announced their nominees on Monday.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Two chefs and a restaurant from Haddonfield have been nominated for Garden State Culinary Arts awards.
Sanook Thai has been nominated for Best New Restaurant, the Garden State Culinary Awards announced on Monday.
Nominees are restaurants that have opened in the previous calendar year (2016) that display excellence in food and service, already have established a distinctive voice and promise to set high standards for years to come.

Theresa Hrivnak, of Indulgence Cupcakery, has been nominated as an Outstanding Pastry Chef/Baker.
Nominees are pastry chefs or bakers working in a professional capacity in New Jersey for at least three years in a restaurant, cafe, bakery or other public outlet who have displayed overall excellence in pastries, desserts and/or bread-making.

Jacqueline Platzer, the Assistant Culinary Director at PJW Restaurant Group, has been nominated as a Rising Star Chef.
Nominees are chefs who are 30 years old or younger as of the previous calendar year whose accomplishments and talent already have served to inspire and impress and promise to set standards for years to come. They must have worked in a professional capacity as a chef for a minimum of three years, including two years in New Jersey.
The winners will be selected by 100 independent judges, including journalist, food writers, cookbook authors and other experts. Finalists will be announced in April, and winners will be announced in May.
