Haddonfield Football Team Downs Collingswood In Season Opener

Ben Klaus and Brendan Gilmartin each accounted for two touchdowns, and Collingswood had a 90-yard kickoff return for a score.

Haddonfield, NJ -- Ben Klaus and Brendan Gilmartin each accounted for two touchdowns in the Haddonfield High School football team’s 35-7 win over Collingswood at home in the season opener Friday night, according to nj.com.

Klaus scored on touchdown runs of 5 and 6 yards, and Gilmartin scored on runs of 11 and 3 yards for the Bulldawgs. Jack Flanagan capped the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Michael Jenkins returned a kickoff 90 yards in the third quarter for Collingswood’s only score of the game.
Haddonfield (1-0) visits Holy Cross (1-0) on Friday night, Sept. 16, 7 p.m.
