Haddonfield Named 1 Of NJ's 'Friendliest' Towns In New List

The borough is perhaps South Jersey's friendliest community, according to WorldAtlas. Do you agree?

HADDONFIELD, NJ — When outsiders describe New Jerseyans, many words often come to mind before "friendly." But some communities break the mold, including Haddonfield, according to WorldAtlas.

The website released a listicle Monday featuring "7 Of The Friendliest Towns In New Jersey." Haddonfield made the cut, serving as South Jersey's sole representative.

"The friendly town of Haddonfield beckons visitors with its welcoming charm and picturesque streets," the article says. "Known for its historic architecture and vibrant community, Haddonfield offers a delightful blend of small-town ambiance and modern amenities. Explore the quaint downtown area, lined with boutique shops, art galleries, and inviting eateries."

"Friendliness" is difficult to quantify, and WorldAtlas didn't state any specific criteria. But the list exhibits Haddonfield to a wide audience — WorldAtlas served 165 million readers around the globe in 2019, the website says.

WorldAtlas has included the borough on several of its lists, including the state's "Best Small Towns To Retire In," "Cutest Small Towns" and "Coolest Small Towns In New Jersey For A Summer Vacation."
